Really good Gion Hotel Experience
very nice attention fresh sheets obliging staff
I found very nice attention to detail throughout the hotel. i was provided with device chargers for every gadget i own. the daily cleaning was thorough. Fresh sheets looked each day. the staff served breakfast at 5:30 am on my departure date, so i could catch my flight (i was so grateful).
i noticed there was no on-site restaurant (or even room service), which slightly limited dining options without going out.

my room included a river view, offering a nice outlook. the bathroom features a separate toilet and shower area. i found the turbo bath very relaxing (especially after a long day).

The location is excellent with very easy access to shrines. sanjo station is nearby. It makes traveling to different sites easy. it is close to gion streets with many restaurants and bars (everything is within easy reach).

spacious room spa bath complimentary water
The room felt spacious and airy. i made good use of the spa bath. i found lots of complimentary water bottles. This was thoughtful.
The price felt high. It lacked laundry services.

the hotel benefits from a convenient location in walking tourist areas such as the gion district. a seven eleven store sits a few steps away from the hotel. many restaurants and shops ARE within walking distance.

the room was spacious, and i liked the electronic lights.
I booked a room with a river view. i received a room on the second floor. i could not see the river from that floor. the staff did not ask about my floor preference.

pour-over coffee and pajamas were also provided in my corner premium twin room river view. the subway station being a short walk away made getting around very easy!

wonderful amenities and superb location
stellar location gigantic room super clean cleaning
The location was stellar. the room had everything one could need, and even more amenities were provided. the room size was gigantic. This is rare. the room was cleaned super clean every day, a real treat.
i noticed some minor wear on the hallway carpets. it was a small thing, though, and didn't impact my experience.

The breakfast options were varied with tasty options to start the day right. the meals were served with attention to detail. i sampled both japanese and western dishes. Both were superb.

The bathroom has separate zones, helping optimize time for multiple travelers. automatic curtains opened upon room entry. It was so cool. night lights activate with a sensor for bathroom trips. this added a touch of convenience.

I found the room quite spacious! It was larger than many rooms I've stayed in across Japan. The shower was particularly great! The hotel is close to the Gion district and public transit. I could easily explore historic areas and access transportation.
The hotel lacked a restaurant, so breakfast was served in the room.
